- What does 'set the memory' mean?
The first time you light a pillar candle (3 inch diameter) you should let it burn a minimum of 2 to 3 hours until the wax pool is almost towards outer wall. This is called setting the memory of the candle because the candle remembers where the wax pool ended and for future lightings will burn out until it reaches that spot before burning down. This will extend the life of your candle.
- How long should the wick be?
Wicks in paraffin candles should always be trimmed at 1/4 inch. Wicks in soy candles should be trimmed at 1/2 inch.
- How do I use SoyFlakes?
Place a tablesppon of SoyFlakes in your wax melter and light the tea-lite or plug in the burner. After approximately 2-3 tea-lites or when you want the to strengthen the fragrance, just add more SoyFlakes to the burner. When tea-lites go out or you turn off melter the SoyFlakes will harden until your next use. Continue to use and replenish as you wish.
